Who are the ILO Myanmar e-Campus courses for? Can anyone enrol?

The learning content on this platform has been designed for those eager to gain new knowledge and skills related to the world of work in Myanmar. Currently, all the courses available are open to public. You can self-enrol and access the course materials. In the future, however, some live courses may be restricted to the ILO’s key partners in Myanmar, particularly government officials and representatives of employer and worker organizations. This is due to the subject-matter of the course and logistical and financial reasons.

Who teaches the courses on the ILO Myanmar e-Campus?

The courses on this platform are taught by leading employment experts from across Myanmar and around the globe. Trainers often include ILO staff with decades of experience in labour issues in the region and beyond.

Are the courses accessible from anywhere in the world?

Yes, you can access and take part in online learning from anywhere in Myanmar or around the world. However, please be aware that priority to participate in live trainings will be given to key ILO partners in Myanmar. Also note that the timings of live courses will be set according to Myanmar’s time zone (GMT+6.30). Certain courses may be complemented by face-to-face trainings.

Are the courses free?

Yes, thanks to the support of the Government of Japan’s Fund for Building Social Safety Nets in Asia and the Pacific (SSN Fund), learning content on this platform is currently available at no cost to learners.

What equipment/ technology do I need to take courses?

The course content on this platform is best accessed via a desktop computer or laptop with reliable Internet access. For live classes, a camera and microphone (built-in or otherwise) will also be required. The e-campus is accessible by mobile devices but please make sure to enable pop-up on your internet browser.

Will I be awarded a certificate on completion of a course?

For the majority of online courses, a certificate will be issued by the ILO. Please refer to individual course listings for additional details and fulfilling certification conditions.

Will new courses be added to the platform? If so, how can I find out first about new learning opportunities?

Yes, there are plans to add several new online courses to the site over the coming months and beyond. Please check back regularly for new content, and Contact yint@ilo.org with your name, organization and the subject heading New e-Campus updates to be added to our mailing list.

Will this platform be available beyond the COVID-19 pandemic?

Yes. Although the launch of the ILO Myanmar e-Campus was accelerated to provide critical online learning opportunities during the pandemic, the intention was always to create a cost-effective, convenient and accessible digital learning tool that could reach and connect learners across the country and beyond.
